Heat Protection Gloves
Product information "Heat Protection Gloves"
Heat-resistant gloves up to 350 °C
Our heat-resistant gloves comply with the strict standards for protective gloves, including EN 420:2003+A1:2009 for general requirements, EN 388:2016 for protective gloves against mechanical risks, and EN 407:2004 for protective gloves against thermal risks.
The performance levels of the gloves according to EN 388:2016 are as follows: Abrasion resistance (level 1), cut resistance Coupe test (level 5), and tear resistance (level 4) as well as no puncture resistance. The cut resistance in the TDM test corresponds to level C. According to EN 407:2004, the gloves meet the requirements for burning behavior (level 3), contact heat (level 3), convective heat (level 4), and radiant heat (not specified). They also offer protection against small splashes of molten metal (level 3), but not against a large amount of molten metal.
Each glove is equipped with a label on the hem containing basic information about the EU conformity mark and the general requirements for gloves. We carefully package our heat protection gloves by packing 10 pairs together with the manufacturer information in German in a PE bag. For larger orders of 100 pairs, we use a sturdy carton weighing approximately 15 kg.
Please observe the following instructions for the use of our heat protection gloves: They are ideal for work in facilities where the risk of scratches, abrasions, or cuts exists. The gloves are suitable for convective heat and contact heat and must not exceed the stated value of class 2 according to EN 407:2004. However, please note that the gloves are not intended as protection against punctures, piercings, or the like.
Please also note that upon impact with a large amount of molten metal, the inner cotton layers may be flammable as they are not treated with a flame retardant. In case of cutting, tearing, abrasion, or excessive contamination, the gloves lose their functional properties. They are not resistant to soaking and should not be used in situations where there is a risk of entanglement in moving parts of machines.
To ensure the maintenance of your heat protection gloves, they can be washed at 60 °C and tumble dried on a basic program. Store the gloves dry and dispose of contaminated products properly. By observing the prescribed maintenance, you can ensure the stability of the required properties that are essential for conformity assessment according to the above-mentioned technical standards.
