Impact Protection Hoops
Impact protection hoops protect rack ends, machines, doors, pipework and building corners from collision damage caused by forklifts, pallet trucks and lorries, while marking hazard points clearly in yellow and black. This category offers steel impact protection hoops for warehouses, production and outdoor areas: galvanised hoops with Ø 76 mm tube in heights from 350 to 1,200 mm, double hoops with 400 mm depth, hoops with underrun protection and corner guards for corners exposed on several sides. Depending on the model, the hoops are bolted down or set in concrete. We supply commercial customers and public authorities only; prices are net.

Choosing height, width and underrun protection
The height depends on the vehicle: 350 mm is often sufficient for pallet trucks and order pickers, while 600 to 1,200 mm makes sense for forklifts and high loads. The width should cover the protected object at the sides. Where forks or pallets can slide underneath the hoop, choose a model with underrun protection or a double hoop.
Installation: bolt-down or set in concrete
Hoops with base plates are fixed to load-bearing concrete with heavy-duty anchors, which are available as accessories. Versions for setting in concrete are particularly suitable for outdoor areas and new buildings. Check the floor and any services in the ground before installation.
Regulations and marking
In Germany, hazard points in traffic areas are marked in yellow and black in accordance with ASR A1.3. For racking, DGUV Rule 108-007 requires collision protection at least 30 cm high at rack corners in aisles used by industrial trucks. The measures required in your company are determined by your risk assessment.
Material and finish
The galvanised steel impact protection hoops are designed for indoor and outdoor use. They are bent from a single tube and have no welds; the yellow coating with black warning stripes ensures good visibility.
Frequently asked questions
How high should an impact protection hoop be?
That depends on the vehicle and the object to be protected. For rack corners, DGUV Rule 108-007 specifies a minimum height of 30 cm; with forklift traffic, many companies choose 600 mm or more.
Are fixings included?
For most models, no. Floor anchors and fixing sets are available as accessories.
Can impact protection hoops be used outdoors?
Yes, the galvanised steel hoops are designed for indoor and outdoor use.
What does underrun protection do?
A second, lower crossbar prevents forks or pallets from passing under the hoop and hitting the protected object.
Do you supply larger quantities for projects?
Yes. For halls, warehouses and construction projects we prepare an individual net quotation for commercial customers.
