Double-sided 60-cm LED warning sign with LiDAR direction sensors: alerts forklift and vehicle operators when pedestrians enter an area – direction detection reduces unnecessary warnings caused by people leaving the area.

The LED warning sign with LiDAR sensor (Ergomat AwareSigns In & Out) helps protect walkways, aisles and intersections where pedestrian traffic is a priority. The LiDAR direction sensors activate the sign when a person enters the detection area; according to the manufacturer, movement out of the area does not trigger a warning. This reduces false alarms and helps prevent alarm fatigue among operators.

Application examples

• An employee leaves the break room and enters a warehouse aisle: the LiDAR sensor detects the direction of entry, and the double-sided sign flashes, providing a visible warning to forklift operators approaching from either direction.
• At the end of a racking aisle, the sensor is directed towards the walkway: only people entering the vehicle route trigger a warning; those leaving the aisle do not trigger an alert.
• Retrofitting at an existing intersection without breaking into walls or laying cables: the sensor, wireless receiver and power supplies are included in the set.

How it works

LiDAR direction sensors (range 1,5–2,5 m) transmit signals to the sign's wireless receiver via an integrated wireless transmitter. The 60 × 60 cm double-sided LED sign, made from lightweight aluminium, illuminates as soon as a person enters the detection area.
