Non-slip Stairs According to Individual Specifications
The non-slip stairs are made almost entirely of GRP, including the side panels, steps, and handrail. These are usually assembled and installed on-site by the customer (installation service available on request).
Basic Structure
Consists of two stringers connected to the stair landing and floor by steel plates.
Handrail System
The handrail system consists of FRP profiles fastened together with copper rivets. The distance between the balusters is approximately 120 cm, and they are attached to the stringers with two stainless steel screws.
Treads
The GRP stair treads are made from grids of glass fiber reinforced plastic at least 38 mm thick with a non-slip surface. The treads are mounted on GRP "L"-angle profiles, which are directly connected to the stringers using steel pins.
To prepare an offer for simple straight stairs, we require the following information from you:
- Ideally a drawing
- Total height in mm: from top edge of finished floor to top edge of finished floor (measured vertically)
- Total length in mm: from the front/beginning of the first step to the end of the last step
- Desired width and depth of the treads
For L-shaped stairs or spiral stairs made of GRP, a technical drawing with all measurements/dimensions is required.
Glass Fiber Stair Treads Have Many Advantages Compared to Steel
- Stairs and treads made of fiberglass are 100% maintenance-free.
- Fiberglass stair treads are as strong as steel gratings and can be replaced 1:1 (same height).
- Glass fiber treads weigh only about one third of steel treads.
- Fiberglass stairs are ergonomic for walking and standing because they are flexible.
- Corrosion does not occur.
- The treads are available with our well-known anti-slip surface.
- The yellow non-slip stair edges make them more visible, for example, in low light or bad weather at sea.
