Height Restriction for Parking Lots and Driveways
With the height limiter, the clearance height can be adjusted to the desired level in order to keep unauthorized trucks, motorhomes, etc. away and to keep the parking lot available for customers.
For authorized trucks, the height restriction is electrically raised to 4.3 m. "The Euro or EU truck (lorry) may be up to 18.75 m long as an articulated vehicle, 16.50 m as a semi-trailer, up to 4.0 m high, and 2.55 m wide excluding the side mirrors (refrigerated trucks up to 2.60 m)." (Source: Wikipedia 'Lastkraftwagen') However, large and heavy transports with special permits may deviate from these maximum dimensions. Larger maximum clearance heights are therefore available upon request. The electric height limiters are controlled, for example, via key switches and radio remote controls for company trucks. For better signaling, the column is equipped with LED lighting in red and green.
