Product information "WATCO Anti-Slip Coating Cold Cure – polyaspartic floor coating for cold stores"
Anti-Slip Coating Cold Cure (sold in the UK as Safety Coat Cold Cure) is a two-component polyaspartic coating from WATCO for floors that must stay safe underfoot in the cold – and that often have to be coated precisely when it is cold. According to the manufacturer it can be applied between −10 °C and +25 °C, so it works in cold stores, walk-in fridges and freezers or unheated buildings where epoxies no longer cure reliably.
The finely textured, glossy surface is slip-resistant and, thanks to the spherical aggregate, stays easy to clean. The coating is UV and weather resistant and is therefore also suitable for loading bays and outdoor areas. It bonds to concrete, old asphalt, sound existing coatings, wood and some metals; according to the product data no primer is required. The manufacturer states the floor is ready for heavy traffic after around 16 hours.
Typical applications
- Cold stores, walk-in fridges and freezers
- Unheated warehouses and workshops
- Loading bays and parking areas in cold zones
