WATCO Bodenbeschichtung Kalttrocknend (sold in the UK as Cold Set Coating) is a two-pack polyaspartic coating for floors that need refurbishing in winter or in permanently cold areas. Where conventional floor paints no longer cure properly, this coating can, according to the manufacturer, still be applied at floor temperatures from -10 °C. Maintenance in unheated halls, loading bays or cold stores no longer has to wait until spring.
Once cured, the coating withstands temperatures down to -20 °C according to the manufacturer, is designed for heavy traffic and is highly chemical resistant. Because it is UV resistant and does not chalk or fade, it is also suitable for outdoor areas. Suitable for concrete, sand/cement screed and sound existing paint; the substrate must be dry and free from frost and ice. No primer is required; two coats are recommended.
