Product information "WATCO Chemi-Coat Anti-Slip – chemical-resistant epoxy floor coating"
Chemi-Coat Anti-Slip is the slip-resistant version of WATCO's chemical-resistant epoxy floor coating. It is designed for areas where two risks meet: spilled chemicals that attack ordinary floor paint, and a wet, slippery floor on which staff can fall – for example filling stations, battery charging areas or bunded areas.
The hard aluminium oxide grit is pre-blended into the curing agent, so application remains a simple two-component job. One thick coat of about 220 µm is usually enough for a glossy, textured and easily cleaned surface. Suitable for concrete, well-bonded existing coatings and some metals; according to the manufacturer also for many wall surfaces.
Typical applications
- Areas at risk of chemical spillage
- Bunded areas, filling and battery charging zones
- Heavily used production floors
Features
- High resistance to many common chemicals (manufacturer data)
- Wet pendulum value (PTV) 66.2 to BS 7976-2 (manufacturer data)
- Wolff-Wilborn hardness 9H, adhesion 4.5 MPa (manufacturer data)
- Aluminium oxide grit pre-blended in the curing agent
- Low solvent content

The slip resistance rating is manufacturer data from a standardised test method. Whether the surface is sufficient for your specific work area depends on contamination, moisture and use, and should be assessed as part of your risk assessment.
Note for bunds and containment areas: installations handling water-polluting substances may require specific regulatory approvals (in Germany under the AwSV). No such approval is implied for this product; please check your installation's requirements and the chemical resistance before use.
