Product information "WATCO Chemi-Coat – chemical-resistant epoxy floor coating"
Chemi-Coat is WATCO's chemical-resistant epoxy floor coating for areas where oils, cleaners or process chemicals end up on the floor – filling points, hazardous goods stores, bunds and plant rooms. One thick coat is usually enough, so the area is back in use sooner than with multi-layer systems.
The 2-pack epoxy with 100% solids cures to a hard, glossy surface that wipes clean easily. It bonds to concrete, screed, well-adhered existing coatings and some metals, and according to the manufacturer can also be used on walls. Very porous substrates should be primed with an epoxy primer first.
Typical applications
- Chemical and hazardous goods stores, bunds
- Production areas with splashes and drips
- Plant, battery and pump rooms
Features
- High resistance to many common chemicals
- Wolff-Wilborn hardness 9H, gloss value 98 (manufacturer data)
- Pull-off adhesion 4.5 MPa (manufacturer data)
- Low solvent content
- For floors and walls
