Product information "WATCO Concrex Acid Resistant – acid-resistant epoxy repair mortar"
Concrex Acid Resistant is WATCO's epoxy repair mortar for floors where aggressive chemicals are used, decanted or stored. Ordinary cementitious mortar is quickly attacked again in such areas; according to the manufacturer this formula withstands even 95% sulphuric acid. Acid-damaged areas can therefore be repaired permanently instead of being patched every year.
The manufacturer states that strength and handling match Concrex Carbon Fibre: mix the two components, place and trowel. It cures granite-hard and non-dusting, can be feather-edged and takes load after about 6 hours. A primer is usually not needed for hole repairs. Suitable for concrete, metal, brick and masonry.
Typical applications
- Chemical stores, decanting and dosing areas
- Production and processing plants with acid exposure
- Acid-damaged concrete floors, ramps and steps
Features
- Resists 95% sulphuric acid (manufacturer data)
- Slip resistant R12 to DIN 51130 (manufacturer data)
- For heavy vehicle and foot traffic
- Can be feather-edged for seamless transitions
