Product information "WATCO Epoxygrip – coarse-textured anti-slip epoxy coating"

Epoxygrip (sold in the UK as Safety Grip) is WATCO's best-selling anti-slip coating and the classic solution wherever staff could slip on wet or oily floors: around machinery, on ramps, stairs and loading bays. A single high-build coat with coarse aggregate is enough to noticeably reduce the slip risk.

The solvent-free 2-pack epoxy with 100% solids is supplied with resin, hardener and a separate anti-slip aggregate, and bonds without primer to concrete, stone, steel, wood and asphalt that is at least three months old. In the pendulum test to BS 7976-2 Epoxygrip achieves a PTV of 78.2 according to the manufacturer, with cross-cut adhesion class 0 to ISO 2409. The cured surface resists common acids, alkalis, petrol and oils (manufacturer data).

Typical applications

  • Wet or oily areas around machinery
  • Steps, ramps, footbridges and loading bays
  • Walkways, entrances and car parks

Features

  • Coarse-textured, gloss anti-slip finish
  • PTV 78.2 to BS 7976-2 (manufacturer data)
  • Taber abrasion 163 mg to ISO 5470-1 (manufacturer data)
  • One coat, no primer needed
  • Further RAL colours on request (over 150 per manufacturer)
