Product information "WATCO Epoxyguard Beste Formel – water-based epoxy floor coating"
Epoxyguard Beste Formel (sold in the UK as Epoxy Gloss Coat) is WATCO's water-based 2-pack epoxy floor coating for warehouses, production areas, workshops and showrooms. It dries quickly enough that, according to the manufacturer, two coats can be applied in one day – so the floor is back in use sooner than with many conventional systems. The manufacturer states that the reformulated product is around 40% more durable than its predecessor.
The coating is applied by roller, has a low odour and gives a fine gloss, easy-care finish. It is suitable for concrete, wood and well-bonded existing paint; previously painted surfaces should be abraded first and a test area is advisable to check compatibility. Relevant for fire safety: according to the manufacturer it is classified Bfl-s1 to EN 13501-1:2018. It is not fully resistant to plasticisers, for example from rubber tyres.
