Product information "WATCO Epoxyguard Premium Anti-Slip Cold Cure – slip-resistant epoxy floor coating for cold buildings"
Epoxyguard Premium Anti-Slip Cold Cure (sold in the UK as Epoxicote High Build Cold Cure Anti Slip) solves a common winter problem: the floor needs work, but the building is unheated and standard epoxies barely cure. According to the manufacturer, this grade of WATCO's high-build epoxy is designed for floor temperatures from 5 °C, so maintenance does not have to wait until spring.
The ceramic-reinforced 2-pack system with 100% solids goes on in one coat of about 220 µm, with the anti-slip aggregate already blended in. The textured, glossy finish is easy to clean and resists oil, solvents and cleaning chemicals. Suitable for concrete, wood, metal and sound existing coatings that are not flaking. Avoid standing water on the surface for the first 7 days.
Typical applications
- Unheated warehouses, production halls and vehicle sheds
- Workshops and garages in the cold season
- Slip-prone areas with oil or chemical contact
Features
- Can be applied from 5 °C floor temperature (manufacturer data)
- One coat, 220 µm, aggregate pre-blended
- Wet pendulum value (PTV) 66 to BS 7976-2 (manufacturer data)
- Full chemical resistance after 7 days (manufacturer data)
- Further RAL colours on request
