Product information "WATCO Epoxyguard Premium Schnelltrocknend – rapid-curing epoxy floor coating"
Epoxyguard Premium Schnelltrocknend (sold in the UK as Epoxicote High Build Rapid) is the fast-curing version of WATCO's high-build epoxy floor coating. It is meant for sites that cannot close halls, warehouses or workshops for long: at 20 °C the floor can take light traffic after about 8 hours according to the manufacturer, so coating overnight or during a shift break becomes realistic.
Like the standard version, the solvent-free 2-pack system with 100% solids builds around 220 µm in a single coat. The glossy finish is easy to clean and resists oil, solvents and cleaning chemicals. It can be applied to concrete, wood and metal, and over existing worn floor coatings as long as they are not flaking. Very smooth or previously coated surfaces should be abraded first.
Typical applications
- Production halls and warehouses with short shutdown windows
- Workshops, vehicle areas and garages
- Areas where oil or chemicals may be spilled
Features
- Light traffic after approx. 8 hours at 20 °C (manufacturer data)
- One coat, 220 µm
- High abrasion and chemical resistance
- Solvent-free, therefore low odour
- Further RAL colours on request
