Epoxyguard Safe Hygiene (sold in the UK as Safety Coat Hygienic) is the version of WATCO's water-based anti-slip epoxy coating for areas where cleanliness matters as much as safe footing. The finely textured surface gives grip yet is easy to keep clean with normal floor cleaning.
Like the other Epoxyguard Safe grades, the coating dries quickly, so according to the manufacturer two coats in one day are possible. It is reinforced with very hard wax and ceramic, and the aggregate is pre-blended. It is applied to concrete and wood, including over existing paint; on very smooth substrates the manufacturer recommends Premium Special Primer.

The slip resistance rating is manufacturer data from a standardised test method. Whether the surface is sufficient for your specific work area depends on contamination, moisture and use, and should be assessed as part of your risk assessment.
