Product information "WATCO Express Coating Anti-Slip – fast-curing polyaspartic floor coating"
Express Coating Anti-Slip (sold in the UK as Fastcoat Anti Slip) is meant for sites that want to prepare and coat a slip-resistant floor within a single working day. It is based on a two-component polyaspartic resin: according to the manufacturer, the second coat can follow after about 4 hours at 20 °C, with light traffic possible after around 6 hours.
A major advantage over epoxy is the temperature window: it can be applied between −10 °C and +25 °C, indoors and outdoors. The coating is UV and weather resistant and bonds to concrete, old asphalt, sound existing coatings, wood and some metals. The anti-slip aggregate is supplied separately and added during mixing. A primer (e.g. Express Primer) is required.
Typical applications
- Production and storage areas with short shutdown windows
- Ramps, loading bays and outdoor areas
- Unheated buildings in the cold season
Features
- Two coats possible in one day
- Wet pendulum value (PTV) 66.8 to BS 7976-2 (manufacturer data)
- Cross-cut class 0, Wolff-Wilborn hardness 7H (manufacturer data)
- Application from −10 °C to +25 °C
- UV and weather resistant
