WATCO Flexible Flat Roof Coating (sold in the UK as Liquid Roof Membrane) is a liquid-applied roof membrane for sealing leaking or aged flat and pitched roofs on halls, workshops and outbuildings without re-roofing. It is applied cold by roller and forms a seamless waterproof skin – especially where sheet materials tend to leak around pipes, upstands and roof penetrations.
It is a single-pack, fibre-reinforced, water-based acrylic membrane. The fibres give the layer extra strength, and its high elasticity lets the roof move without the coating cracking. According to the manufacturer it is highly UV and weather resistant, lets vapour escape from the substrate and can be applied to slightly damp surfaces. Suitable for concrete, asphalt and roofing felt; two coats are recommended.
