WATCO Pourable Roof Protection Compound (sold in the UK as Roofite Pour & Restore) is intended for larger flat roofs that are starting to leak, hold standing water in hollows or show small cracks – typically on halls, garages, storage and farm buildings. Rather than patching sheet by sheet, the compound is simply poured out and spread with a squeegee, so even large areas can be treated quickly and costly re-roofing can often be postponed.
The single-pack blend of bitumen, rubber, fibre and fine aggregate forms a thick, flexible, waterproof layer. It levels slightly undulating surfaces and hollows, reducing ponding, and bridges minor cracks and splits. It is suitable for concrete, felt and asphalt roofs. The material starts black and, according to the manufacturer, weathers to a matt grey finish. Very porous substrates are primed first with thinned compound.
