WATCO Protective Coat Anti-Slip (sold in the UK as Protecta-Coat Anti Slip) is a clear sealer applied over concrete floors or existing coatings to protect them from wear, chemicals and weathering while adding slip resistance. It is particularly useful when a coloured or decorative floor coating should be kept but made to last much longer.
It is based on a 2-pack polyaspartic resin that can be applied at temperatures from −10 °C to +30 °C and cures quickly – in around 6 hours at 20 °C. The medium-textured surface achieves slip resistance R12 to DIN 51130 according to the manufacturer. The manufacturer also states that the UV-resistant formula does not yellow, resists abrasion and scratching, and stays flexible with slight substrate movement. One coat seals around 30 m² per pack.

For areas without a slip requirement, the protective coat is also available as a smooth version.
