WATCO Robuflex (sold in the UK as Plant Room Coating) is a thick, flexible waterproof coating for plant and machine rooms. If a pipe bursts or a tank leaks, water or chemicals should not seep through joints and cracks into the floors below. Robuflex lays a seamless, waterproof layer over the floor and wall junctions, filling joints and cracks and keeping spills on the surface.
The coating is a cement-resin blend of powder and liquid component, mixed with a paddle mixer and applied at around 1 mm thickness. According to the manufacturer it adheres well to concrete, brick, masonry, stone and plaster, stays flexible and resists cracking and peeling. The matt, lightly textured finish is slip resistant and suitable for floors as well as walls. The clean substrate is dampened with water before application.
