WEICON Balancing Putty is an easy-to-process, cold-curing 2-component epoxy resin system. The kneadable resin is used specifically for balancing armatures for electric motors. Compared to machining processes such as drilling or milling, this type of balancing offers several advantages. No tools are required to process the Balancing Putty. No work on the armature stack is necessary. This means an improvement in quality with regard to motor noise and performance. Using the putty saves time, as deburring work at the balancing points, for example, is completely eliminated. Armatures that have been balanced by machining in single-plane balancing can be balanced in two-plane balancing with the Balancing Putty without additional time. No metal chips are produced that could get into the winding and cause faults. The risk of accidents possible during drilling and/or milling is eliminated. The Balancing Putty is not thrown off, e.g. during a test run (in the uncured state) during the balancing process at 3000 rpm (armature diameter 40 mm).
