WEICON Food Grade is a surface coating system and has approval from the Hygiene Institute of the Ruhr Area for contact with aqueous and fatty foods up to 70 °C. It is used both for coating surfaces and as an adhesive. The free-flowing 2-component epoxy resin system has a high proportion of fine mineral fillers. The coating is easy to process and adheres to a wide variety of surfaces even under mechanical stress. Food Grade has very good chemical resistance and is suitable for coating a wide variety of parts, such as pumps, conveyor systems, screw conveyors, hoppers, tanks and pipes. Thanks to the food approval, the coating is suitable for applications in the drinking water sector, the beverage industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, commercial kitchens, bakeries or food production. WEICON Food Grade is suitable alone or in combination with one of the other WEICON Plastic Steel types for a system build-up.
