The fibre optic stripping tool Fibre Tube No. 2 was specially designed to provide quick access to the glass fibres in loose tubes in buffer tubes from 1.2 mm to 4 mm in diameter. It is suitable for a wall thickness from 0.15 mm to 0.6 mm. With the blade in the module and a special feed, the buffer tube can be conveniently passed through the handy tool. This gives the user quick and process-reliable access to the optical fibre in no time. The blade in the stripper lightly scores the buffer tube (e.g. made of PE) and the user can easily snap off the tube without damaging the sensitive glass fibre. If required, the feed and the blade in the half-shells can be exchanged or renewed as modules.
