The epoxy resin system WEICON GL-S has high abrasion resistance and serves as wear protection for heavily stressed surfaces. It is free-flowing, brushable (can be processed with a brush), has high adhesive strength, is mineral-filled and chemical-resistant. In combination with one of the other WEICON Plastic Steel types, WEICON GL-S is suitable for a system build-up as a surface finish for visual inspection. Thanks to its slow recoat time of five hours, GL-S is particularly suitable for use at higher ambient temperatures and on larger surfaces, and can be used wherever spraying is not possible. It is suitable for lining heavily stressed pump housings, as wear protection for plain bearings, chutes, hoppers and pipes and for repairing castings, valves and fan blades.
