Screw locking lacquer is a water-based locking, marking and sealing lacquer that requires no hazard labelling. The lacquer is free from organic solvents (VOC-free and HAP-free). It requires no hazard labelling and is not a hazardous substance, which significantly minimises risk during application. The locking lacquer adheres very well to almost all materials, has good resistance to media and is UV and weather resistant for at least 4 years according to DIN EN ISO 2810. The marking lacquer is non-conductive and has good breaking properties. For an aqueous system, the screw locking lacquer has a high drying speed (dust-dry after approx. 10 min.; fully cured after approx. 12 hrs.) and high temperature resistance from -80 °C to +120 °C. The locking lacquer serves as a releasable lock, as protection against tampering by third parties, as a cover for electrically conductive parts and as protection against interference by touch. The screw locking lacquer is indispensable for the visual inspection of all types of screw connections, protects against manipulation and unauthorised loosening of screws and connections, and documents quality assurance, production control and product testing by means of a lacquer seal. The screw locking lacquer can be used in many areas of industry and the trades and is available in red, yellow and green.
