The automatic tool is used for stripping all common solar cables, such as H1Z2Z2-K from 1.5 to 10 mm². An adjustable length stop from 5 to 25 mm enables very precise and accurate work. The blades of the Stripping Tool No. 5 Solar Pro have been additionally hardened so that multi-layer rubberised insulation can be removed without difficulty. The length stop can also be removed if required. The tool adjusts automatically to the respective conductor cross-section – so no manual adjustment is required. A side cutter suitable for copper and aluminium conductors up to a diameter of three millimetres has been integrated into the tool. Thanks to the slim design of the tool, it can also be used in hard-to-reach working areas, such as on solar modules or at the inverter. The mechanism of the tool runs very smoothly and has proven durable and reliable in tests. The tool has a non-slip multi-component handle in the yellow-black "Ice-Crack" design. The stripping tool has an eyelet to which a lanyard can be attached as fall protection and has been equipped with a labelling area so that the tool can be personalised. In addition, the tool can be locked and thus stored in a space-saving manner. As with all stripping tools in the No. 5 product line, the electro-galvanised blades are replaceable.
