WEICON DF 175 is a patented thread sealing cord made of 100% PTFE and permanently and reliably seals almost all metal and plastic threads. WEICON DF 175 reliably fills the gap in the threads and forms a PTFE film of the required thickness when screwed together. This film is extremely resistant to almost all chemicals, even the most aggressive solvents, alkalis and acids. WEICON DF 175 is non-flammable and functionally reliable in a temperature range from -200 °C to +240 °C (-328 to +464 °F). Unlike other sealing materials, in which the fabric merely serves as a carrier for the actual sealant, WEICON DF 175 is itself the sealing material. Separation of carrier and sealing material over the service life of the screw connection is therefore ruled out. WEICON DF 175 has an unlimited shelf life and always remains soft and pliable. WEICON DF 175 is very economical: one roll can replace up to 20 rolls of PTFE tape (12 mm x 0.1 mm x 12 m).
