Leaks, water loss, corroded fittings or a non-functioning suction point endanger readiness. We organise the rehabilitation and, if required, check a suitable temporary fire water supply – coordinated with the competent bodies.

Fire water is not drinking water – but safety-relevant

Pure fire water tanks are generally not subject to drinking water hygiene requirements; tightness, durability, frost resistance and constant availability are what matter. For combined use the applicable requirements apply.

Fire water demand, draw-off points and access are defined with the fire service and in the fire protection concept. During the works the fire water supply must be ensured; mobile foldable tanks are only suitable if volume, flow rate, location, fire brigade access, frost protection and filling fit.

Underground tanks can be confined spaces – internal work requires a risk assessment, gas testing, ventilation, a standby person and a rescue plan.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know a fire water tank is leaking?
A falling water level without withdrawal, damp patches or efflorescence, cracks and corroded fittings. Observing the level for a few days gives first indications.

Is fire water still available during the works?
This is agreed in advance with operator, fire protection planner and fire service. Where suitable, we organise mobile, foldable fire water tanks as a temporary solution.
